Reasons to watch 911 on Fox

• 4/6 of the main cast currently are POC (including two black women, an Asian-American man, and a Latino man)
  
• Angela Basset
• The main couples are an interracial couple and 2 black lesbians who are married with a son
• some of the best break downs of toxic masculinity I’ve seen in a while, with men constantly hugging and touching each other and crying and encouraging each other to express their feelings !!! men helping each other overcome trauma !!!!! with no “no homo” machismo implications !! just love and kindness
• Eddie Diaz…papí
• deals with themes like alcoholism, sex addiction, abusive relationships, finding love after divorce, racism, and homophobia
• Connie Britton !
• POC addressing the stigmas they face because of their race (for example: the Asian-American character spends an entire episode discussing how the lack of representation he had growing up drives him to be a hero)
• one of the newer characters is a single dad whose son has cerebral palsy, but his child is never treated as a plot device and instead is adored by everyone in his life
• it’s somehow a comedy?? and a drama??? and a romance?? all at the same time
• there’s a newer ship for two of the male characters (buck x eddie) that’s really sweet and deserves some love
• addresses the inherent problems with the American medical aid system
• great soundtrack honestly (whatta man? sugar we’re going down? david bowie? you’re killing it guys)
• strong, empowered women who take no shit and always pass the bechdel test 
• I hope chimney knows I would die for him without hesitation
• just watch it guys
• it’s really good
